Autumn:

Once again I have failed to appreciate the Fall.
The summer is so unbearably long and so severe.
I know that autumn is quick, and most of all
I always seem to be busy that time of year.
And now there are no more leaves left to fall.
It's not winter in the calendar yet, but it's clear
to me that the calendars are wrong, after all
it's been snowing in the north (it never snows here)
and now the chill has settled in like a pall
So I've once again failed to appreciate the Fall, I fear.
